to face Henin in Sydney

Babsi is to play
Justine Henin in the first round of the adidas international in
Sydney, Australia. It is a tier II tournament and 28 player
draw. The tournament will start on Sunday.
Babsi has played
Henin (who is the #5 seed) 3 times and trails in the series
1-2. Henin beat her on the first 2 occasions at the French
Open and New Haven. Both meetings were last year and Babsi
beat her in Moscow. This was their last meeting. Kim
Clijsters is the other seed in her quarter. Babsi is to play
doubles with Silvia Farina here. Elena Dementieva is a
likely second round opponent if Babsi gets that far.
Last year Babsi
played Sydney and got to the second round before losing to
Davenport in straight sets. Her best performance here was in
1999 when she got to the semi-finals and took the world #1 Hingis
to a deciding 7-6 final set.
After Sydney,
Babsi will play the Australian Open in Melbourne. Last year
she got to the 3rd round losing to Anna Kournikova.
